Lorraine Bundamurra

My name is Lorraine Bundamurra and I live on Kwini country in Kalumburu Community with my family of 5 children, my youngest now at high school. My brothers Charlie, Neale and Wayne and sister Lisa also live in Kalumburu with their families.

I am a Kwini woman and I am a traditional owner for Balangari country in the Kimberley region.

My interests are following my football team the Freemantle Dockers, fishing, watching TV and cooking. I also enjoy my fulltime job as head cook for the Kalumburu Womens Centre cooking for the elders of the community and the ladies who attend the centre to do CDP Activities. I also look after refuge when Colleen is on holidays.

Before working at the Women’s Centre I went to Perth to learn how to operate a dialysis machine so I could care for my parents until they died. I then worked for the Kalumburu Youth Program for several years until starting full time work at the Womens Centre.

I would like to be considered for the board of directors for CFN as I have a lot to do with both the elders and the young people of Kalumburu. I will be able to bring a broad knowledge of what is needed and wanted in the community.
